This session became a powerful reflection on how we navigate decisions within ourselves and within a group.
In a small group, absence is felt. And yet, in this space, choosing your well-being is not only accepted, but honored.
When we explored what goes into a decision like not showing up, a whole landscape appeared — sense of duty, disappointment, protection, fear of missing out, frustration about our body’s limitations and capacity. Each of us navigating a unique combination, shaped by our own inner world.
And yet, despite this complexity, we often assume we can predict how others arrive at their decisions — or how they will perceive ours.
The truth is, we can’t.
Each person is filtering through a completely unique landscape.
So the invitation becomes this:
to place less importance on how our choices might be received, and more attention on reading our own internal signals clearly, so we can make decisions we genuinely stand behind — not to meet expectations, but to remain aligned with ourselves.
This same principle revealed itself in the exercise that followed.
As we allowed our intention to meet the places where we feel stuck, the focus shifted — from protecting how we are perceived, to becoming curious about what the experience is showing us.
When we perceive our blocks in this way, they stop being a measure of failure,
and become part of the movement itself — often far more valuable than the idea of “performing well” we might have been holding onto.
Excercise : Tuning To Through The Layers
This is the powerful practice that helps to move through an experience rather than staying confined to the surface of it. Here is how it unfolds:
1. Name the experience
Bring to mind a situation in your life that feels stuck, heavy, or unresolved.
Let it be something real and present.
Name it simply — this is the space you are choosing to explore.
2. Give voice to the friction
Take a moment to express what feels difficult within this experience.
What is frustrating, disappointing, annoying, sad, or irritating about it?
Allow the truth of your experience to be fully acknowledged, without softening or correcting it.
This is where the tension lives — and where the doorway begins.
3. Return to the body
Let your feet ground into the floor.
Allow your spine to rise naturally.
Take a slow breath in through the nose — receiving air, energy, and presence.
Exhale gently, releasing what does not belong to this moment.
Again, inhale — deeper this time, letting yourself arrive more fully.
Exhale — softening, emptying, creating space.
One more breath.
And as you open your eyes, feel yourself here — more present, more aware, more within.
4. Remember the original intention
Now, reconnect with the deeper impulse behind this experience.
What did you want?
What were you moving toward?
What was the energy of that desire — the quality, the feeling, the essence?
Name it. Feel it. Let it come alive again.
Then gently notice:
How does this intention meet the place that feels stuck?
What shifts when both are held in awareness at the same time?
This is not about fixing the experience,
but about seeing more of it —
until movement becomes visible again.
The Replay
As you watch this replay, it’s fascinating to notice that each of us arrived at a different insight through this process — not because the path is unclear, but because it is deeply personal.
When intention meets the place of stuckness, it reveals what is true for you, within your own arc. It’s not universal, but so personally relevant.
An Ongoing Practice
Take this practice with you into your life.
Where else might a sense of stuckness be inviting you to look deeper — to reconnect with the intention beneath it?
If something opens or shifts as you explore this, you’re welcome to share it with us — here in the comments below or in the group.
